Diamond Plate For Wheel Guards
Jun-29-2023
The wheel guards is installed behind the wheel frame and is usually made of rubber, plastic, or metal materials. The car wheel mudguard plays a significant role in effectively preventing mud and water from splashing on the body or individuals, reducing the frequency of car washes, avoiding damage to the body caused by stones brought by the tire gaps, and protecting the mechanical structure of the car. Mudguards made of aluminum diamond plate are very beautiful.
Metal mudguards usually use lightweight aluminum alloy materials, specifically 3003 aluminum diamond plate for wheel guards, which is a commonly used product in the aluminum-manganese alloy series and is widely used as a rust-resistant aluminum. It has higher strength than industrial pure aluminum, good formability, high corrosion resistance, and good weldability, and its performance meets the requirements for car mudguard materials. 2.35mm diamond plate fenders are often used for aluminum plates for mudguards, which have good performance, anti-slip properties, and many advantages.
Mechanical properties of 3003 aluminum diamond plate for wheel guards:
- Tensile strength σb (MPa): 120-160
- Yield strength σ0.2 (MPa): ≥85
3003 diamond plate for wheel guards has good corrosion resistance, similar to that of industrial pure aluminum. It has good corrosion resistance to the atmosphere, fresh water, seawater, food, organic acids, gasoline, neutral inorganic saltwater solutions, and has good corrosion resistance in dilute acids. Therefore, there is no need to worry about rust or corrosion of mudguards made of this material.
